Custom Furniture and Woodworking

Ironwood Furniture Studio is a Los Angeles custom furniture and woodworking studio built around over 40 years of fine woodworking experience.

Led by master woodworker Emiliano Mendez, the studio designs and builds custom hardwood furniture for homes, designers, and businesses throughout Los Angeles. Our work includes custom tables, bookcases, cabinets, shelving, desks, bars, and one-of-a-kind furniture pieces made with real wood, careful joinery, and a hands-on design process.

Every project is shaped from design to build inside our Los Angeles workshop. We focus on proportion, material, durability, and the quiet details that make a piece feel permanent, intentional, and made with care.

Our Process

Every project starts with understanding what you want made, where it’s going, and how it needs to function. Photos, measurements, and inspiration help us get clear on the direction before we put together an estimate.

Understand the Project

Before anything is built, we go through the size, proportions, materials, finish, and construction details. When needed, we use drawings or 3D visuals so the design is clear before production begins.

Work Out the Details

Each piece is built in our Los Angeles workshop using quality materials, durable joinery, and hardware suited to the project. Once complete, we coordinate delivery and installation when the project calls for it.
